SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS
 
Commanded an attack helicopter company in 1981, which for 12 months prepared for and conducted the Apache Helicopter Operational Test II
Commanded a 3600 soldier aviation brigade (Falcon Brigade) in combat (Somalia), which consisted of two light infantry battalion task forces (TF), one armor battalion TF, one 56 aircraft attack helicopter battalion TF, one combat engineer battalion (heavy), one forward support battalion, and a 155SP battery.
Led the historic air assault of 10th MTN DIV AVN BDE helicopters from the flight deck of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier "Eisenhower" on to the shores of Haiti on 19 September 1994.
